LED Daytime Running Lights
Kona’s unmistakable front light signature with LED Daytime Running Lights and full-LED headlights features Static Bending Light and Smart High Beam. The dynamic curved daytime running lights also define the subtle intakes that feed the active airflow, reducing turbulence around the front wheels.
Because the IONIQ Electric doesn’t need to cool a petrol engine, the solid front grille has been designed with distinctive chevrons and active air flaps which further optimise the aerodynamics.
Super-efficient sleek silhouette
The design purity of IONIQ is maintained from front to rear. The gentle slope of the roofline merges seamlessly into the rear spoiler. The result is a shape that is both sporty and aerodynamically efficient.
Conveniently located behind the single flap on the left rear flank are both the standard type 2 charge port, and the quick charge port (CCS) which can charge up to 80% in only 30 minutes.*

IONIQ Electric combines the high power density of a compact, lightweight, rechargeable Lithium-Ion Polymer battery with a high-power electric motor and high-efficiency reduction gear
The high-power electric motor develops 120 PS and a maximum torque of 295 Nm.
The integrated heating system warms the high-voltage battery to maximize both charging performance and driving range in low-temperature conditions.

Lane Departure Warning System with Lane Keep Assist (LKAS)
This warns drivers that they are potentially drifting out of the lane. A camera mounted in the windscreen recognizes lane markings. If the vehicle starts to drift over the lane markings, without a turn signal being applied, it activates a visual and audible alert for the driver.
Lane Keep Assist (LKA)
The Lane Keep Assist system uses the front camera to monitor the lines of the road. In the event of an unintended lane departure, it will first alert the driver and then apply counter-steering torque to get the car back on the correct course if necessary.
Blind Spot Detection (BSD)
The system informs the driver of vehicles in the blind spot and passing cars. It keeps the driver informed of cars potentially passing, but maybe in a hard-to-see blind spot that can’t be easily viewed using the rearview mirror or wing mirrors. It informs drivers with a graphic in the wing mirror and may make an audible warning when indicating.
Full LED Lighting Technology
The Kona Premium GT features powerful and efficient full LED headlights. Plus High Beam Assist which automatically detects on-coming drivers and changes from high beam to low. A Static Bending Light system illuminates the area to the front and side of your car when cornering in low light.
Rear-Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)
Fitted on Premium SE trims and above, the Rear-Cross Traffic Alert system reduces the risk of a collision when reversing by monitoring the area to the rear of the car with two radar sensors.
Driver Attention Alert (DAA)
This standard feature has raised safety and convenience to a new level by continuously observing and analysing driving patterns. When a pattern of fatigue or distraction is identified, the DAA system gets the driver’s attention with an audible pop-up message suggesting a break.
Parking distance warning-forward
Parking can trigger anxiety in some drivers but this handy system will have you parking like a pro. Sensors gauge the remaining distance and issue a series of audible alerts as the car gets closer.
